The Future of Foodservice | 27th November 2018
Chair: Christopher Faulkner, Foodservice Expert
The foodservice industry needs to continuously evolve in line with changing consumer needs, but these developments aren’t always easy to forecast. This fast-paced sector has endured many ups and downs so the aim of this conference, is to seek a better understanding of how we can prepare for what’s to come.
From start to finish, we will be learning from seven experts and participating in four enlightening roundtable sessions.
Kirsty Harris-Clarke, Head of SalesOut at IRI, will open the conference, unravelling the data that currently exists within the industry and discussing what this tells us about how foodservice is changing.
Coral Rose, Managing Director of Country Range, will follow and explore the role of the foodservice wholesaler.
Paul Turner of Alf Turner Butchers then joins the line-up with his talk about his transition from butcher to foodservice supplier via Dragon’s Den.
Joe Benn, Co-founder of UGLY Drinks, will then take us on a journey back to where his brand started, sharing the obstacles he faced and where he sees the opportunities to be in the future.
Anthony Hester, Director of F&B at Wyevale Garden Centre, will share insight into the importance of foodservice offerings, such as a cafe or restaurant, to garden centres.
Peter Sidwell, Founder of Simply Good Food TV, will shine light on the role of social media in the foodservice industry, looking at how suppliers can use different platforms to grow their businesses.
Closing the day will be Tony Kitous, Founder of the much-loved Lebanese restaurant chain, Comptoir Libanais.
