This September, Brown Forman’s Woodford Reserve has announced a packaging redesign for its portfolio of brands to reflect the changes already made to the packaging in the US. The new design sees significant updates to the Woodford Reserve Double Oaked whiskey, alongside more discreet changes to the rest of the brand family, offering a clearer differentiation between expressions.
The packaging alterations include new premium bottle structures alongside a wraparound label using high quality paper and copper foil with a matte finish.
Woodford Reserve Double Oaked sees the biggest change with the bottle undertaking a complete re-design. From September, this will change from the classic design to a shorter, wider shape with a heavy glass base. The change celebrates the unique and ultra-premium nature of the bourbon, which sees the liquid transferred to a second barrel with a heavy toast and light charring, for an additional finish.

Georgia Donmall, UK Brand Manager comments: “We are delighted to bring these beautifully updated bottles to market. We believe that this re-design will help to demonstrate Woodford’s commitment to innovation, whilst also cementing the brand as a leader in the super premium spirits category with a more modern, contemporary look”
The new bottles will be distributed across the UK from September, available at all major Woodford Reserve stockists.
It is a bourbon of exceptional richness, depth and character with a smooth, well-rounded finish.
