NFGS launches Crowdcube campaign to promote natural energy drink

UK-based start up drinks company, NFSG, is to launch an equity crowd funding campaign on Crowdcube as it prepares to grow its up-and-coming natural energy drink, Overhang.

Launched in September 2015 by a father and son team from the UK, Overhang is a natural pick-me-up drink which contains orange, ginger and lime, as well as a blend of vitamins and botanicals, including milk thistle, raspberry leaf, burdock root.

Will Wilkinson, Founder & Director of Overhang says: “Overhang is based on an old family recipe created by my great great grandfather over 100 years ago. “While the original recipe was designed as an antidote to indulgence, Overhang today is sold and consumed as a natural energy drink, which provides a healthy, energising and revitalising boost – qualities that cannot be associated with a number of soft drinks on the market at the moment.”

“Since launching two years ago, the brand has gone from strength to strength and Overhang can now be found on the shelves of over 1000 retail stores including Tesco, Asda, Spar and Holland & Barrett.

“While orange, ginger and lime are the predominant flavours, the key to Overhang’s success is the drink’s special blend of vitamins and botanicals. With milk thistle for the liver, raspberry leaf and ginger for the stomach and burdock and other antioxidants for the blood, the drink offers a great natural pick-me- up. With only 6g of sugar per 100ml, it is naturally low in sugar and a healthy alternative to the currently widely available energy drinks on the market.

“While we have already achieved a great deal, there is still a way to go, which is why we have turned to Crowdcube. With this extra funding, we will look to invest in marketing to further grow the Overhang brand. We will also continue to expand our distribution channels as well as adding Sales and Marketing resources. This is a really exciting time for Overhang as we launch in new stores across the UK on a weekly basis. With investment from Crowdcube we are really excited about taking the brand to the next level.”

Holland & Barrett: National listing in UK and Ireland

Tesco: Regional listing in the South West

Asda: Launched in the South West region

Spar: North of England Launch later this year (2017)

Park Garage Group: National Forecourt listing

Overhang, which is looking to raise £150,000 from this campaign, is set to launch on Crowdcube on 11th September 2017 and will run for a period of four weeks.
