Available in September, Dunnet Bay Distillers will release it’s latest seasonal line, the Autumn Edition Rock Rose Gin.
It features the same base botanicals as the renowned Rock Rose Gin but the citrus elements have been lowered to make berries and spice more prominent.
In true Rock Rose Gin style it features a host of locally grown and foraged fruits and botanicals. These include blackberries and raspberries from Caithness Summer Fruits, along with blueberries from the Dunnet area and Vietnamese coriander and nasturtium grown in the distillery’s very own geodome.
The company’s signature the ceramic bottle has also been given an autumnal makeover, with the leaves on the bottle turned to hues of oranges and browns.
Martin Murray, Co-Founder, Dunnet Bay Distillers, says, “Our seasonal editions are extra special, as they are small batch and crafted with ingredients from our gardens and local forest. For autumn, the flavour profile is all about berries and spice and we suggest serving it with some fresh blueberries and basil.”
The Autumn Edition is the latest release from the UK’s most northerly mainly distillery, which was set up by husband and wife team, Martin and Claire Murray, in 2014. The couple are passionate about handcrafting spirits that celebrate the heritage and provenance of Caithness and pride themselves on using local hand-foraged botanicals. They also lovingly hand-craft their spirits using a traditional copper pot still, before each bottle is individually sealed and signed.
The Autumn Edition is available now for wholesalers and distributors for collection.
