Natural Balance Foods is offering retailers the chance to grab a bigger share of morning sales with the revamped Nākd Breakfast Bars range – just fruit, oat and nuts ‘smooshed’ together, designed to appeal to consumers looking for healthier, tasty options to eat on-the-go.

The great tasting new recipes for each of the four breakfast inspired flavours: Banana Bread, Apple Danish, Berry Bliss and Cocoa Twist has seen the introduction of gluten free oats and, like all Nākd bars, are made with 100% natural ingredients and no added sugar. Even better, the range has less than 100 calories per bar and count as one of 5 a day.

Nākd Breakfast bars will particularly appeal to busy consumers who are increasingly shunning breakfast cereal in favour of healthier, yet still convenient options. In fact, research shows that UK shoppers bought 20 million fewer packs of ready-to-eat breakfast cereal in the past year[1] in favour of on-the-go options.

Marina Love, Marketing Director for Natural Balance Foods says: “There are 21 billion breakfast occasions a year, but habits are changing. One in 10 are now eaten on-the-go[2] with consumers aged between 24 and 44 over-indexing in on-the-go breakfast occasions and they’re looking for new, healthier breakfast solutions that are convenient and delicious.

Nākd is the third biggest selling brand in the Cereal Bar category – worth c.£39m and growing at 12%[3].

The New Nākd Breakfast Bars are in stores from end of September 2017 across all channels. The 30g bars come in singles with an RRP of 75p and 4 x 30g packs with an RRP of £2.49
