Speciality food and drink brand, World of Zing, has unveiled its new ‘Spirit of Zing’ Aged & Bottled Cocktail range, marking its ambitions for the speciality & premium sector. Furthermore, the range will be sold through leading speciality distributor, Cotswold Fayre and has been listed at Whole Foods.
Originally launched under the World of Zing brand to critical acclaim in 2014, the Spirit of Zing Cocktail range subtly updates the original recipes and showcases a completely new brand ID, including the packaging and logo.
Each of the small batch cocktails is hand-crafted in a new dedicated Cocktail Development centre in South London, complete with Cocktail Ageing and Molecular Mixology facilities.
The new look rolls out this August with a five-strong line-up: Blackberry & Tamarind Spiced Rum Spritz; Bordeaux Aged Negroni; Steel Aged Manhattan; Persian Lime & Nori Margarita; and a Bitter Orange, Strawberry & Ginger Spritz.
Commenting on the range, World of Zing founder Pritesh Mody, comments:
“With premium spirit and cocktail sales seeing a sharp and consistent rise in on-trade sales in recent years, the Spirit of Zing range closes the loop in off-trade drinking trends by offering hand-crafted bartender quality cocktails for the home drinker. Indeed, the range takes popular classics such as the Negroni and Margarita to the next flavour level by adopting the kind of unique production process and innovative ingredients only seen at the UK’s leading bars. The striking new branding and design completes the experience by capturing the excitement of the product and providing some serious on-shelf and bar impact.”
The new branding was created with leading design agency, Springetts. Along with the packaging refresh, it also been given a new ‘Flavour Beyond Ordinary’ positioning, which brings to life how the products are designed to help consumers to turn the ordinary to something extraordinary using simple ingredients and techniques. It also uses bright and ingredient-specific colour waves for maximum visual impact and continues to celebrate the roots of the brand through its ‘Born in London, 2014’ tagline.
These latest developments follow a strong start to the year for the specialist producer, which now has drinks collaborations in place with major companies including Diageo Reserve. In 2016 alone, it’s on-trade program delivered over 100,000 serves, amounting to over £1m in revenue for clients. In addition to bottled cocktails, the brand offers other exciting on-trend products from a new hot sauce range to flavoured salts and rare chillies.
