Sheppy’s tally of award winning premium British ciders is growing – with three from the renowned collection scooping coveted stars in the Great Taste Awards 2017.
Classic (Somerset) Draught and Oak Matured Vintage were both awarded a stunning two stars, with Sheppy’s limited edition cider Iwood taking home a fantastic one star, in the results revealed.
Great Taste, organised by the Guild of Fine Food, is the world’s largest and most trusted food and drink awards – the ‘Oscars’ for the fine food and drink industry. More than 400 judges working in small teams, blind tasted 10,000 products – each one vying for one, two or three stars.
Classic (Somerset) Draught – “Beautifully balanced. This shouts Somerset Cider with classic farmhouse flavours.” – Two Stars
Oak Matured Vintage – “Clean and inviting. Quite a powerful number – well balanced with a firm finish.” – Two Stars
Iwood – a new limited edition launch for Sheppy’s. “A gorgeous golden colour. Complex on the nose with promising rich flavours. Rounded and like biting into a juicy apple.” – One Star
