Adnams, the Suffolk-based brewer and distiller, has launched its award-winning Adnams Copper House Dry Gin in a convenient, ready-to-drink Gin & Tonic format*. The new 250ml Gin and Tonic cans have been designed for picnics, festivals and enjoying while out and about.
Adnams Copper House Dry Gin was introduced in 2010, when the Adnams Copper House Distillery opened and was awarded the coveted gin trophy at the International Wine and Spirit Competition in 2013, earning the title: “World’s best gin”. Over the years its fan-base has grown, becoming one of the company’s best-loved products.
Hand-crafted from East Anglian malted barley and made using the “London Dry” method, the resulting gin is distilled with six carefully selected botanicals including sweet orange, hibiscus flower and juniper berries.
To complement the gin’s unique combination of aromatic flavours, Adnams’ Head Distiller has developed a bespoke tonic water to create a refreshing ready-to-drink gin and tonic with 5% abv that is best served chilled.
John McCarthy, Head Distiller at Adnams, comments: “We have created this 5% abv canned G&T with our award-winning Copper House Dry Gin for convenience as well as those occasions when it’s impractical to take a whole bottle of gin and tonic.
“It was particularly exciting to develop a tonic water to complement and bring out the best in our gin. The resulting drink has a pleasant bite of quinine and quassia bitterness, balanced by a touch of natural sugar for some sweetness. Deliciously refreshing, these pre-mixed cans are perfect for taking to festivals, parties, picnics and for enjoying at the beach.
“We are all aware that gin has become increasingly popular in the past decade, with customers choosing more premium and interesting spirits to enjoy in their G&T and, combined with the arrival of summer, it made sense to create a portable version of our well-loved gin drink.
