Ginsters is launching two new flavoured rolls – Large BBQ Pulled Pork Roll and Large Smokehouse Steak & Cheese Roll. These tasty new rolls will join the full Ginsters line-up from Wednesday 5th April.
Food on the go is a massive growth area for retailers, particularly in Convenience, with the category currently worth £16.1 billion and predicted to grow to £21.7 billion by 2021*.
Ginsters new rolls tap into the growing trend for “Smokehouse and BBQ flavours” and these two new innovative flavours are set to generate interest amongst shoppers and help drive sales in the category.
The Large Smokehouse Steak and Cheese Roll is made with British Steak sausage meat and diced steak, Westcountry vintage cheddar cheese, onion and a smoky barbeque seasoning wrapped in a light puff pastry. The Large BBQ Pulled Pork is made with British pulled pork and sausage meat in a BBQ sauce with onions wrapped in a light puff pastry.
Ginsters Large Sausage Roll is loved by consumers being the Number 1 branded sausage roll in the category+ and these 2 new flavours to the existing range of rolls will be added.
Kate Brown, Ginsters Brand Manager said ‘Research with consumers confirmed that these two new flavours have extremely high levels of appeal. Retailers should stock up to take advantage of the incremental sales.”
The rolls will have a recommended retail price of £1.80 with an introductory price and price-marked pack. The launch will also be supported with tailored point of sale.
