The UK’s oldest family run marmalade producers Duerr’s, has celebrated its Mancunian roots by teaming up with Manchester distillery, Zymurgorium to create the Marmalade-of-Manchester Gin.

Always proud to shout about their roots in the north west, Duerr’s first collaboration with the distillery, is made by combining Duerr’s Manchester Marmalade (first made over 50 years ago in honour of the people who live and work in the city), with lime and lemon, coriander, grains of paradise, Madagascan bourbon vanilla and eight balancing botanicals. The end result is an elegant, 40 per cent proof drink bursting with citrus flavour with a finishing note of soothing orange blossom.

Produced entirely in-house by Zymurgorium, including all design work, hand labelling and waxing, and handwritten batch numbers, Marmalade-of-Manchester Gin is a must for gin lovers who want something extra special.

MD and Chief Distiller at Zymurgorium, Aaron Darke says: “We’ve been searching for a citrus style for a while and teaming up with a Manchester institution like Duerr’s was the perfect solution.

“The introduction of Duerr’s Manchester Marmalade gives the drink lots of citrus notes on the nose, palate and in the finish. It’s awesome!”

Sales and Marketing Director, Richard Duerr added: “We love to see our products used in different and original ways and this is a perfect collaboration. It tastes terrific.

“We have seen our marmalade used in cocktails in the past, so we knew it mixed well with alcohol. What Zymurgorium have done has taken it to the next level. Now people can enjoy Duerr’s Manchester Marmalade from breakfast right through to last orders!”

The Marmalade-Of-Manchester Gin is available at selected retailers throughout the North West, RRP £33.50.
