January 12, 2017, 3:20 pm

Known as the gin’s connoisseurs secret, The Trading House, 89-91 Gresham Street, is one of the City’s best kept secrets. This January, the venue will begin the New Year with an innovative take on the popular January sale; The Ginuary Sale. The gin-themed sale, running until 31st January, will allow guests to enjoy a 2 for 1 deal on a selection of gin brands served.

On the final day, the 31st January from 5:00, The Trading House will be inviting gin connoisseurs to a city gin festival at the venue, with the opportunity to sample the gins and meet the makers.

The Ginuary Sale features a collaboration with five gin brands currently listed in The New World Gin List: Mason’s Dry Yorkshire gin, Poetic Licence gin, Langley’s gin and William Chase’s GB gin and The Trading House’s very own handmade limited edition gin.

The Trading House Gin has been crafted with unique botanicals by the gin gurus at The Trading House and distilled in the City, at The City of London Distillery, is also featuring within the Ginuary Sale.

The limited edition release reflects the characteristics and flavours of a traditional London gin. Along with the traditional gin botanicals juniper, coriander, angelica root, this premium London Dry Gin, also includes green tea, elderflower, orange peel, rowan berries, rose hips and infused with natural London water from within The City.

The botanical flavours create a light and fragrant aroma on the nose with zesty orange notes accompanied by subtle elderflower. The lighter notes fade beautifully into piney juniper and the slight dryness from the rose hips.

Nick Whitby, Head Bartender for NWTC, commented “Our New World Gin List has proved very popular with our guests since its implementation. So we couldn’t wait to create an occasion to celebrate some of the finest examples of gin being produced across the country, all whilst offering a refreshing angle on the traditional January sales!”
