New brand Rebel Kitchen launches in the UK

Screen shot 2013-11-24 at 22.06.20Launching with three dairy-free ‘mylk’ drinks for children in Banana, Choco and Orange Choc Mylk varieties (RRP 99p), Rebel Kitchen is on a mission to make tasty, nourishing snacks available to everyone, everyday, everywhere.

Designed for kids from three years of age – but with a taste that grown-ups will like too – all of the drinks are made with a base of coconut milk blended with pure spring water from Somerset.

They are lactose-free and suitable for vegans, vegetarians or those on a dairy-free diet, and all contain absolutely no additives, no preservatives and so, no worries.

The three Mylk drinks will be available in the following varieties, best served chilled:
Choco Mylk, made with Fairtrade cacao and a touch of organic date nectar, with coconut milk and water.

Banana Mylk, Rainforest Alliance bananas blended with organic date nectar, a touch of cacao, coconut milk and water.

Orange Choc Mylk, Pure oil gathered from the zest of Brazilian oranges added to cacao, organic date nectar, coconut milk and water.

Coconuts are sourced from an island in Western Indonesia, via a local supplier who pride themselves on the welfare of their employees.

Founder, Tamara Arbib has always been passionate about children’s development through eating well.

Along with her husband Ben, they launched The A Team Foundation four years ago with the aim to show how diet is central to overall health and excite tangible change in the nation’s relationship and approach to food.

Tamara soon realised that in order to effect change for all, it made sense to show that healthy eating could be achievable from a commercial perspective.

As a mother of three young children, she was frustrated with the lack of wholesome products that appealed to kids and satisfied cravings in a healthy way, so she set about to create a solution. Rebel Kitchen was born and lunchboxes will never be the same again!

Tamara said: “Consumers are waking up and realising that health needs to be a proactive choice and an absolute necessity for all.

“We believe that eating the right nutritional foods is the best form of preventative medicine.

“This belief is at the heart of everything we do and runs through every aspect of our organisation.

“We’ve started with three ‘mylk’ drinks for children and have exciting plans to extend our positive snacking range very soon.”

The 200ml tetra-pak cartons are priced at RRP 99p. They have a shelf life of six months, and must be consumed within three days of opening.
