What started as an April Fools joke has now become a reality for a select few crust lovers out there, as Warburtons is responding to its social media community with a real life ‘All-Ends’ loaf.
Warburtons initially launched the ‘All-Ends’ Loaf as a joke on 1st April comprising solely of the ‘crust ends’.
The concept, which formed part of the brand’s ongoing social media engagement, fooled Warburtons Facebook fans across Britain and has since generated over 1000 ‘Likes’ and hundreds of comments.
Responding to the interest from its Facebook community, the family baker has now developed and created a number of the loaves, which are being sent out to its biggest Facebook fans as an exclusive opportunity to sample the product.
Mark Simester, marketing director at Warburtons, said:
“We had no idea that our spoof loaf would receive such an enthusiastic response, so we’re pleased to have baked limited editions for our most discerning crust lovers on Facebook.
“We’re always looking for ways in which we can be innovative and meet our customers’ needs – it’ll be interesting to see what feedback we get on the actual All-Ends Loaf once our fans have had the opportunity to sample it.”
