Meat snacking is big in the UK and there’s a new product on the market hoping to take on the big brands – Bertie.
Bertie’s Bangers is the first range of fully cooked, ready to eat, single serve, British sausages to hit UK supermarkets and it is aiming to challenge consumer’s attitude towards meat snacks.
Bertie’s Bangers is being launched by Cranswick who recognised a gap in the market after conducting consumer research.
The research confirmed that the consumer is looking for a substantial, tasty snack with ingredients which are recognisable and British, which can be eaten at anytime and anywhere.
The new Bertie’s Bangers are cooked to give the eating experience of a quality British sausage and can be eaten straight out of the packaging.
Bertie’s Bangers are packed with butcher’s quality British pork along with herbs and spices which are cooked, chilled, individually wrapped and ready to go.
The new Bertie’s Bangers (65g) will launch in Tesco from 7 October with four varieties: Succulent Pork, Herby Lincolnshire, Barbecue Pork and Pork & Chilli.
