HANCOCKS’ NEW DUCD’O CHOCLATE RANGE HITS SHELVES
Hancocks Cash and Carry has launched a new selection of Ducd’o chocolate products into the UK market, anticipating sales in the run up to Christmas.
Ducd’o is one of Belgium’s leading producers of premium chocolates.
Made with 100% cocoa butter, Ducd’o makes all of its own fillings and only uses carefully selected ingredients.
All of the chocolates are free from artificial colours, flavours and preservatives, whilst being presented in boxes and packages.
Retailing from £1 to £14.99, with products weighing from 50g to 1kg, high margins are achievable on this premium chocolate range that is not widely available in the UK at the moment.
Jonathan Summerley, Hancocks purchasing director said:
“We are delighted to team up with premium chocolate manufacturer, Ducd’o, and bring the UK independent retail market a fabulous range of high quality boxed Belgian chocolates at this time of year.”
Examples of the new Ducd’o range, available from Hancocks, include:
Boxes of dusted truffles (200g) – three varieties are available with an RRP of £3.49 offering retailers a 49% margin at RRP.
A selection of classic liqueur chocolates in wooden crates – three sizes are available.
The 125g crate has a £3.99 RRP and can achieve a 32% margin at this price.
A selection of 500g gold tins, containing a selection of either truffles, pralines or chocolate seashell with a £9.99 RRP.
An oval Grand Collection box 400g – £9.99 RRP.
Summerley added:
“Whilst Hancocks has specifically offered something very different at the value end of the market in recent times, there are many opportunities to take advantage of at the premium end of the market too and our advice to independent retailers would be to keep an open mind and take advantage of high margin opportunities.”
