Sweet corn brand Green Giant is launching two new products this October, Green Beans, and Sweet corn & Peas.
They add to the brand’s current offering of sweet corn and specialty vegetables including green asparagus, hearts of palm and baby cobs.
The new additions will tap into Green Giant’s brand status and hope to deliver growth in the canned foods segment.
The Beans and Pulses category alone is worth £52 million and within that the Green Beans segment is worth £6.3million.
Mixed vegetables is a category segment worth £5.6 million and research has shown that sweet corn and peas are the 3rd and 4th favourite items for all vegetable eaters who consume sweet corn.
The launch of these new SKUs aims to further reinforce the strength of the brand and ensure it remains firmly on family shopping lists.

The Green Beans SKU will be available in a single 411g can and the Sweet corn & Peas SKU will be available in both a single 198g can and tri-pack.
