THE CO-OPERATIVE FOOD UNVEILS CHINESE TAKEAWAY RANGE

September 20th, 2012

The Co-operative Food is launching a new own-brand Chinese Takeaway range.

With Chinese takeaways remaining a top choice for Brits, the new range has a selection of chilled Chinese dishes, from starters, appetisers and main meals.

Available in stores nationwide now, the new range aims to help to make those “no cook” nights simple and value for money.

For an oriental appetiser to share, The Co-operative is introducing an Aromatic Half Crispy Duck and Pancakes with Hoi Sin Sauce for the first time.

For starters, customers can create their own mix and match platters from Chicken Spring Rolls, Vegetable Spring Rolls, Satay Sticks and an Oriental Selection, which contains mini spring rolls, prawn toast and won tons.

There are five new Takeaway Chinese main course dishes, which are designed for mixing and matching for an Oriental banquet.

The Co-operative Takeaway Beef in Black Bean Sauce 340g, has pieces of sliced British beef in a sauce with red pepper and water chestnuts.

For those who prefer a touch of fire, The Co-operative Takeaway Kung Po Chicken 350g.

With a spicy tomato sauce, cashews, baby corn, water chestnuts and roast chicken pieces, it has a kick for spice fans.

Another option is the new The Co-operative Takeaway Battered Chicken with Sweet Chilli Sauce 350g – with battered crispy chicken pieces and a sweet chilli dipping sauce.

There is also a Takeaway Sweet and Sour Chicken 340g being added to the range, and there’s a new Chicken Chow Mein going into The Co-operative’s main Chinese ready meal range.

And to finish the new range is a Takeaway Egg Fried Rice 200g.
