Nestlé Confectionery is set to bring back its white chocolate version of Kit Kat Chunky for a limited period only.
Available from 17 September Kit Kat Chunky White has an RRP of 56p.
The bar performed well with consumers earlier this year in the company’s Choose a Chunky Champion campaign.
The campaign gave consumers the chance to vote which of four limited edition Kit Kat Chunky flavours was their favourite, with the winner becoming a permanent addition to the range.
Whilst Peanut Butter was the ultimate winner, the white chocolate Kit Kat Chunky sold over 1 million bars and was actually the fastest selling of the flavours in some retailers.
It received 30% of over half a million votes cast.
As the only white chocolate hunger confectionery product on the market, it also claims to offer consumers something different and has consumer appeal with young men.
Nestlé UK Trade communications manager, Graham Walker, said:
“With many consumers already fans of Kit Kat Chunky White, this is a great opportunity for retailers to capitalise on their desire to buy the product when it becomes available in September.
“To maximise sales be sure to display it in a high traffic area where shoppers can’t miss it.”
