The UK’s sandwich and pasty supplier, Ginsters, is launching its Christmas 2012 portfolio with special edition seasonal sandwiches and a seasonal pasty.
Building on its previous years with its special edition ranges, Ginsters is providing festive choices for their shoppers in the run up to Christmas.
There will be two special edition sandwiches: the Christmas Cracker and the Cranberry, Wensleydale & Bacon, plus a special edition Turkey, Bacon & Cranberry Pasty.
These new lines will be available nationally from early November.
A traditional Christmas flavour, and the 2012 British Sandwich Association Sandwich of the Year finalist, the Cranberry, Wensleydale & Bacon sandwich is a deep filled eat, offering consumers a mix of flavours including sweet cure smoked bacon and seasoned mayonnaise.
Additionally, Ginsters is bringing back the Christmas Cracker sandwich, a combination of turkey, Cumberland sausage with a sage and onion stuffing and a burst of red onion cranberry chutney presented on an oatmeal bread.
The Christmas Cracker has been brought back after becoming Ginsters most successful special edition in 2011, achieving record sales.
As well as the festive sandwiches, Ginsters is also bringing back the special edition Turkey, Bacon & Cranberry pasty.
Made with British turkey, smoked bacon, cranberries, potato and onion in a creamy sauce wrapped in puff pastry, this festive flavour is part of the brand’s rolling special edition pasty SKU, and will replace the Beef Madras pasty.
Andy Valentine, Head of Brand Marketing for Ginsters, said:
“For the last few years, we have offered a Christmas portfolio which has genuinely struck a chord with retailers and consumers alike.
“At this time, our loyal consumers look forward to adding our Christmas specials to their usual repertoire, giving uplift in sales for our retailers.
“We are building on the success of past years to offer a varied festive range, so we expect this year’s special editions to do well. As ever, these products continue to reflect the brand’s commitment to using only the highest quality, fresh, British ingredients.
“By offering retailers the opportunity to provide something seasonal for their shoppers, sales are set to see a boost in the run up to Christmas.”
