NUDO OILS LAUNCHES NEW TWO-PACK INTO WAITROSE

August 23rd, 2012

October sees Nudo launch a brand new two-pack of Italian extra virgin olive oil into 180 Waitrose branches.

The product contains a 250ml tin of extra virgin olive oil and a 250ml tin of extra virgin olive oil crushed with fresh lemons.

All ingredients are 100% Italian and the retail price is £9.95.

Waitrose is well known for its range of olive oils, but the retailer saw a gap in their range for a quality olive oil which customers could either buy for themselves or give as a gift.

Nudo, a premium quality brand which specialises in naturally flavoured olive oils, made from 100% Italian olives, is packaged in Nudo’s decorated tins.

Nudo’s flavoured olive oils are made using the argumato method where the fruit, herb or spice are crushed together with the olives at the time of pressing.

Most other producers infuse the oil or add a chemical extract.

Nudo’s products are all designed by Madeleine Rogers at Mibo design agency.

The effervescent colours and modern design of the Nudo range aim to brighten up a kitchen or appeal as a gift product.

To help launch the two-pack, Nudo is running a competition to win 25 Italian olive tree adoptions.

Winners will receive a year’s supply of olive oil direct from their adopted tree in Nudo’s picturesque groves in Le Marche.

Nudo was set up by Jason Gibb and Cathy Rogers when they bought an abandoned olive grove in Le Marche eight years ago.

The story of the business is told in their book ‘The Dolce Vita Diaries: stories and recipes from an Italian olive grove’.
