NEW SMALL ‘JAZZY’ POTATOES UNVEILED IN THE UK

August 7th, 2012

Jazzy is the all new small potato launched by Preva Produce and the Jazzy grower group to wholesale, hospitality and retail this summer.

Jazzy is a waxy, set-skinnned potato packaged in brightly coloured red and green packaging, which is also echoed on the website and newsletter.

The potato will be available in 10kg boxes from the 1st August for the major wholesale markets.

Hospitality sector businesses can get hold of it through Fresh Direct or from the Preva sales team.

Will Beeson, Director of Preva Produce, said: “We are really excited about Jazzy.

“We spend our working lives trialling varieties hoping to uncover something as good as Jazzy.

“It’s fantastic to be launching such a great new potato brand.”

Jazzy is exclusive to Co-operative Food stores and shoppers will be able to buy Jazzy in 500 of the largest stores.

It will retail at £1.00 for the red 500g pack and £1.50 for the green 1kg pack.

Jazzy is grown in Britain, by a group of five growers who are based in Cornwall, Norfolk, and Lancashire.

Will Beeson said:

“Jazzy is the potato that all our customers have been waiting for. It looks fabulous, tastes great and stores well.

“All these qualities combined mean that it delivers superb value to our customers.”

Jazzy is available throughout the year.

This year, Jazzy will be exhibiting at the Restaurant Show at Earls Court 8 – 10 October. P
