NEW FRUIT CRISP RANGE FROM NIM’S

August 20th, 2012

A new snack range is hoping to shake up the healthy snack market with its innovative, air-dried fruit crisps.

Nim’s Fruit Crisps is launching a range of guilt-free fruit crisps just as an official survey has found that only a third of adults and one in ten children are getting their recommended ‘five a day’ target.

Made from 100% natural fruit, the range is produced using an air-drying process, to ensure that each pack retains as much nutritional content as possible.

The range is available in a variety of flavours including: Apple & Strawberry, Pineapple & Mango, Orange & Melon, Apple & Kiwi and Pear & Kiwi.

Nim’s is continuously investing in NPD with new combinations of fruit currently being trialled in a bid to keep the range seasonally fresh and interesting.

Each pack in the range is made from fresh fruit with no additives or preservatives and includes one of your five a day.

As well as being gluten-free, the range contains 62 – 78 calories per pack and is suitable for those with allergies to gluten, wheat, nuts and dairy.

Nim’s Fruit Crisps works in partnership with Change 4 Life, a nationwide, NHS-led campaign aimed at encouraging regular exercise and healthier eating.

Nim’s will be supporting its entry into the competitive snacks and healthy foods market through a proactive PR campaign, including offering free sport sessions with every pack, that will launch the range to the national UK media.

Founder, Nimisha Raja, said:

“We hope to encourage people to make healthier choices in their snacking habits by offering tastier and healthier alternatives to sweets and crisps.

“We are currently working in partnership with a number of schools across the country to make Nim’s available for pupils as a mid-morning snack, as well as a number of other initiatives.”

Currently available online and from many health food stores including throughout the Planet Organic chain, the company is discussing further listings with retailers.
