New Covent Garden is launching ‘Fresh Bowls’, a new range that aims to take soup to new levels of freshness and quality.
These ‘bowls’ comprise a soup base and selection of fresh vegetables separated by a tray in a microwaveable pack format.
The vegetables are cooked through by the steam from the soup, and are simply dropped into the steaming bowlful by removing the tray.
By combining recipes with fresh vegetables, New Covent Garden’s new product hopes to appeal as a healthy and hearty lunchtime option.
The new soups are available in two flavours; Red Thai Sweet Potato & Coconut, and Smokey Tomato & Red Pepper.
Red Thai Sweet Potato & Coconut:
This oriental-themed dish offers fresh sweet potatoes, red peppers, bamboo shoots and spinach heated by a bowlful of Red Thai soup.
Smokey Tomato & Red Pepper:
Plump cherry tomatoes, red peppers, butter beans, courgettes and rocket leaves are steamed in a tomato, red pepper and smoked paprika soup.
All New Covent Garden Soup Co. soups contain no additives or preservatives, flavourings, colourings or modified starch of any kind.
All the fresh soups in the range also feature the government approved FSA traffic light labelling system for the identified categories of fat, saturated fat, sugar and salt, making it easier for customers to see the nutritional content.
