CHEESE BRAND MU LAUNCHES NEW MU STICKS

Adams Foods is hoping to shake up the dairy fixture this summer with the launch anew format of its family cheese brand MU.

Available from the 6th August, MU Sticks are made from 100% cheddar and are a good source of calcium for kids of all ages.

MU Sticks are 100% cheddar stick containing no added ingredients, colours, flavours or preservatives.

Each stick is the equivalent of one glass of milk helping.

Available in packs of four and eight, the cheddar sticks are individually wrapped positioning them as a lunchbox or snacking solution.

Brand Manager for MU, Rebecca Worthington, says: “Since its launch, MU has been growing at a fantastic rate and we are very excited to be able to introduce this new product which will allow parents to provide their kids with a fun but healthy snack.

“Our current MU products have gone down extremely well in consumer research with mums telling us their kids often notice it when shopping.

“The disruptive bold MU packaging has really caught the family’s eye when out shopping and we hope these two new products do the same.”

MU Sticks and Patz will be handed out by the MU cow character to families visiting theme park Alton Towers during the summer holidays.

Also supporting the launch will be targeted in-store activity, Facebook activity and PR.

Adding further support to families, MU’s ‘Make everyday a MU fun day’ activity booklet offering creative and low-cost activities to keep children occupied during the summer holiday.

All the activities in the booklet have parents will be able to download a free copy of been suggested by Mumsnet the largest online parenting site in the UK.

Since MU’s launch in 2011, the brand is now worth £2.9 million and continues to grow.
