The on-shelf presence of the product aims to raise awareness of the fact that the diet is low carb, rather than no carb, to both dieters and health conscious individuals, while also hoping to broaden the appeal of the diet and its products to other consumers.
The bread mix isn’t exclusive to those following the New Atkins Diet.
It can also be enjoyed by anyone wanting to maintain their weight and lead a healthier lifestyle, as it contains a quarter of the carbs found in a normal whole wheat bread loaf and costs £3.99 for the 350g packet.
It also does not require the use of a bread making machine as it can be prepared by hand.
