SACLA’ LAUNCHES NEW SQUEEZY PESTO TUBES

July 17th, 2012

Sacla’ has unveiled a new range of squeezy pesto tubes with the aim to get consumers using pesto more often.

The launch is hoping to boost the penetration of pesto, which is currently just 17.5%.

Initially two of the brand’s most popular flavours will launch in the new format; basil and tomato.

Sacla’ hopes to encourage use of pesto on sandwiches, potatoes and salads.

The products will keep for 28 days once opened rather than the 14 of Sacla’ jarred pesto, so can be kept in the fridge and used when needed.

The tubes are listed in Tesco, Sainsbury’s, The Co-op and Waitrose priced at£2.55 and the launch will be supported by press ads, online activity and sampling.
