Malibu – the coconut flavoured rum – has launched a new TV execution, which invites consumers to ‘celebrate the sunset’ with Malibu.
The new adverts, running from 9th July to 9th September, feature the DJ Bernhard and MC Wonderful, and introduce a new character, Lady Sunshine.
The advert’s narrative follows Lady Sunshine as she weaves her way through Caribbean streets, inviting people she encounters to step away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life and join her at a bar on the beach, to celebrate the sunset with a Malibu cocktail.
The advert, which aims to demonstrate the contagious energy of the Caribbean, while also communicating the sociability and mixability of Malibu, ends, “At the end of the day, press play”.
