CRICKETER FARM CELEBRATES 60 YEARS WITH NEW LOOK
Cricketer Farm is celebrating 60 years of cheese making this year and the brand is celebrating with a new look.
To commemorate the occasion, the brand has included its own cheese board, made from old fashioned cheese slats and treated with local rapeseed oil, along with a cheese knife.
Since Lord Beaverbrook and Sandy Copland set about the challenge of revitalising agriculture in the West Country in the early 1950’s, Cricketer Farm has been a hub of innovation, providing work for many local families, many of which are part of the 65 strong team today.
The cheddar is traditionally handmade with local milk that the brand collects itself daily.
The brand takes pride in being one of the few who make, mature and pack Somerset Cheddar on site at Nether Stowey nr Taunton.
This gives them complete quality control and it rigorously selects only the best cheese to go into Nether Stowey Reserve and Quantock Gold.
