MCCAIN LAUNCHES MATURE CHEDDAR AND RED ONION WEDGES ALONGSIDE NEW CAMPAIGN
McCain Foods is launching a ‘Summer of Sharing’ campaign to encourage consumers to get together with friends and family and celebrate the British summer with McCain Wedges.
As part of the campaign McCain Foods is giving away a McCain Wedges sharing bowl for free with packs of Wedges.
To obtain a sharing bowl, consumers just need to collect two vouchers from special packs of McCain Wedges and apply online from 6 August.
In addition to the bowl giveaway, McCain is offering one consumer the chance to win a party, worth £5k, and giving away 100 party packs every day for 30 days from 3 July.
The party prize includes food, drink, bartenders, waiters and even an ice cream van and entertainment, while the party packs include everything from face paint to balloons and party blowers.
Consumers can enter the free prize draw on the new micro site which has been specially created for the campaign and is a one-stop-shop for top tips, party games and event themed recipe inspiration, such as Jamaican style jerk wedges.
The ‘Summer of Sharing’ campaign is part of the McCain Foods ‘Perfect for sharing’ strategy which is aiming to drive category growth by creating new eating occasions for wedges by building associations with social occasions such as parties, big sporting events, movie nights and barbecues.
The McCain Wedges range includes new limited edition McCain British Mature Cheddar and Red Onion Wedges, which have been launched to capitalise on the desire for all things British in 2012, Lightly Spiced, Sea Salt and Cracked Black Pepper, and Mexican.
