Goodfella’s is launching a limited edition Takeaway Pizza and Wedges range; the first branded sharing pack offering to reach shelves in the UK.
The new product will comprise a Goodfella’s Take Away pizza and pack of potato wedges all in one box, providing the consumer with a bought-in takeaway experience.
The brand’s recent research shows that the pizza and sides concept is popular amongst consumers as they look for a product that meets a multitude of sharing occasions.
With summer events like the Olympics taking place over the coming months, Goodfella’s Takeaway Pizza and Wedges range hopes to bring excitement to the frozen pizza aisle and drive sales in the category, currently worth £37.4m.
Andrew Elder, Head of Marketing for Goodfella’s said:

“We wanted to offer customers an easy and tasty sharing pack for a variety of different occasions with friends or family.

Each sharing pack includes an 11-inch pizza with semolina dusting on the base to add Take Away flavour.
The 400g bag of potato wedges also in each pack has up to 40 wedges to share.
And with similar cooking times, both pizza and wedges can be placed in the oven and cooked alongside one another.

Goodfella’s Takeaway is available in Asda from this month and has an MRSP of £3.99.
