Ribena is hoping to drive sales with its biggest launch in 20 years.
Ribena Plus, packaged in a number of key formats including Tetra Brik Aseptic Slim cartons, is a range of no added sugar juice drinks, with added healthy vitamins and minerals for growing families.
Health is a key priority for today’s consumer and Ribena Plus has been developed with this in mind.
The drink is designed to target two key audiences – young women and mums trying to get added goodness into their families.
By using the Tetra Brik Aseptic carton the drink does not need preservatives.
The drinks contain the full amounts of fortified nutrients without the need to be put in the fridge, so consumers can have a carton on-the-go.
Ribena Plus recently hit the shelves and is now available in a range of flavours including:
Ribena Plus Vitamin A & C – to support immunity – Blackcurrant; Apple & Peach
Ribena Plus with Calcium for healthy bones – Mixed Berries; Raspberry & Apple
Michael Walford, Group Brand Manager, Ribena said:
“Ribena has delivered Vitamin C to the nation for over 70 years and this is set to continue with the launch of Ribena Plus.
“Consumers – and especially mums – are looking for extra ways to get ‘goodness’ into their families.
“The juice drinks category has always offered nutritional value and now Ribena can offer something more.”
Gail Scotland, marketing manager for Juice, Nectars and Still Drinks at Tetra Pak added:
“The design of these cartons uses the smallest total amount of material possible to create a protective package.
“Like most of our cartons, these are primarily made from renewable materials and are widely recyclable across the UK too.
“So by choosing to drink Ribena Plus, you’re making a good decision for both your body and the environment.”
Alongside this launch, the makers of Ribena are re-launching its Tetra Pak® carton range and supporting it with new shelf ready packaging.
The new packaging hopes to bring out the heritage of the brand, showing more health information and tying back to the family values associated with Ribena.
Both the individual and the multipack cartons will have a fresh new look featuring a countryside scene, depicting the true Britishness of the blackcurrants used in Ribena, designed to create better standout on shelf.
