NEW SHORT & SWEET BANANAS REACH THE UK
Consumers know what a banana looks like, but the yellow fruit they’re used to seeing in shops is only one type of the fruit.
Whilst the more culinary adventurous may have been able to find plantains in this country and experimented with cooking them, another kind of banana hasn’t reached our shores until recently: the Lady Finger Bananas.
The smaller cousin of regular bananas are also known as Fig or Date bananas because of their sweet, sticky taste and they can be eaten fresh or dried, on their own or in desserts.
Natur Boutique have brought dried organic Lady Finger Bananas to the UK but, as with the fruit itself, these dried bananas aren’t like the dried banana chips many consumers might be used to.

They come as whole dried bananas and keep some of their moisture
They come as whole dried bananas and keep some of their moisture, leaving a sweet and sticky flavour and texture.
Furthermore, the bananas have had nothing added to them, coming organic, sun dried, raw and natural with no additives or preservatives.
With no saturated fat and being rich in fibre they are being marketed as a healthy snack or lunch box treat.
Natur Boutique Organic Lady Finger Bananas are £2.29 for a 200g pack of approximately 10 bananas.
