SEASON’S FIRST ENGLISH TOMATOES FROM BUDGENS
Budgens has launched its English tomato season six weeks ahead of usual with deliveries of classic round English tomatoes (Encore variety) 4-pack and on-the-vine 400g packs of Elegance tomatoes to all Budgens stores.
The new season English tomatoes have kicked off on promotion with 50p off packs for the on-the-vine English Elegance tomatoes selling at £2.29 RSP (400g) and classic round English tomatoes selling at £1.49 RSP (4 pack moving to £1 from 19 April).
Budgens’ English tomato season will continue with five other lines being added to the range as the season progresses, including;
loose on-the-vine Elegance tomatoes, sweet cherry vine Piccolo tomatoes, baby plum loose tomatoes, cocktail on-the-vine loose tomatoes and loose on-the-vine tomatoes. All Budgens English tomatoes will be on promotion at some point throughout the summer.
And Budgens’ support of British growers means that Budgens will once again be supporting British Tomato Week (21 to 27 May) with point-of-sale for retailers and sampling opportunities in store for Budgens shoppers to try the variety of English tomatoes available this year.
