New food producer Kate Keane has launched a range of wholemeal base pizzas.
Made with a crispy wholegrain base, only natural ingredients and fresh produce are used for the four toppings.
The range has been created as a healthy and vibrant pizza offering with taste and flavour.
Suited to the speciality food market, and available chilled or frozen, these new pizzas cope to appeal to consumers seeking restaurant quality, healthy eating alternative pizzas.
The rustic themed packaging with on pack imagery also aims to give them an on shelf presence.
There are four varieties, Spinach, Ricotta & Tomato (400g); Mixed Pepper & Goat’s Cheese (400g); Roasted Vegetable (410g), and Cherry Tomato & Mozzarella Cheese (400g) that deliver 2 or 3 of the recommended five a day and all are served on a 100% wholegrain base.
Kate’s says the inspiration for her range comes from her love of classic thin base pizza and a belief in the premise of a healthy balanced diet.
Kate couldn’t find what she wanted on the shelves herself, so devised her own products. The result is this unique new retail range.
The entire range has been put forward for this year’s Great Taste Awards.
