The UK based savoury pastry brand, Ginsters, is launching a new ad as part of its ‘Man Plea’ TV campaign.
Scheduled to hit high profile slots from April, the 30 and 10 second executions continue to encourage the UK’s households to enjoy their Ginsters hot at home as part of a main meal.
Following on from last year’s “We need to talk…” campaign, this latest ad resumes the theme and features a man who gets down on one knee to say “Would you do me the honour of making me…”
Whilst the audience thinks he is about to propose to his beloved other half, the camera pans in to reveal his proposal is actually for…a Ginsters Peppered Steak Slice.
Andy Valentine, Head of Brand Marketing for Ginsters, said:
“Following the success of ‘We need to talk…’ last year, we’re excited to be picking up the momentum again with the launch of this latest execution of the campaign.
“Continuing to drive recognition of the versatility and quality of our savouries range is a key part of our marketing plan for 2012 and we expect to see more and more consumers trialling our products hot in the home as a result.
“People are still looking for good value and convenience at meal times in the current climate and we believe the engaging proposition of the ad will really help drive the message home that Ginsters is a perfect solution.
“Retailers should take advantage of this period of high awareness for the brand and ensure they’re making the most of their savouries fixtures in-store by stocking the best-selling pasties, slices and rolls from our range.”
