HENRY GOODE’S LAUNCHES SOFT EATING LIQUORICE MULTIPACK
Tangerine Confectionery is set to launch the soft eating liquorice in a new bar multipack format.
Henry Goode’s Soft Eating Liquorice Bars will now be available in a pack size of three, extending the current range to provide consumers with an on- the-go snack.
The multipacks are available in a shelf ready case of 24 units, with an RRP of £1.39 per pack.
With the same taste as its soft eating liquorice bags, the portion controlled pack contains only 140 calories and less than two per cent fat.
Made using all natural colours and flavours, Henry Goode’s Soft Eating Liquorice Bar is Halal Approved and is designed to appeal to health conscious consumers with a sweet tooth.
Since its launch in 2009, Henry Goode’s Soft Eating Liquorice has grown to become the category leading brand with sales of £4m as consumers opt for the only British variety of the traditional treat.
Sarah Brown, Henry Goode’s brand manager, said:
“The new multipack increases the consumption occasions catered for by the Henry Goode’s brand, giving consumers a convenient way to enjoy the nation’s favourite liquorice as a quick snack at work, home or on the move.
“The Henry Goode brand is growing 53 per cent year-on-year, fuelled by the surge in popularity for the soft eating variety as both liquorice lovers and haters are converted by the distinctly milder taste and soft texture.

The demand for healthier snacks has contributed to growth
“The demand for healthier snacks has also contributed to growth.
“The launch of the multipack will enable us to capitalise on our continued success and maintain our position at the top spot in the soft eating liquorice category.”
The multipack joins a range which includes a 300g bag of traditional and strawberry flavours, along with a 140g priced marked and non priced marked bags for the impulse market.
