SHARWOOD’S UNVEILS NEW TIKKA RANGE
Sharwood’s is celebrating all things patriotic in 2012 with a new Tikka range.
With a multi-million pound TV advertising campaign and a new range of Tikka Masala, Sharwood’s is aiming to generate a sales opportunity for retailers.
The TV campaign hits screens in February for eight weeks and has had positive results in consumer research, above UK norms.
The new creative shows the Sharwood’s chefs travelling the length and breadth of Britain seeking out hints and tips from local curry houses to make the best tasting curry that consumers can enjoy at home.
In March, Sharwood’s is launching a range of four additional Tikka variants, designed to appeal to the whole family – Extra Mild, Extra Creamy, Extra Onions, and a Special Edition Green Label Mango Chutney flavour.

Tikka Masala is currently the UK’s favourite Indian cooking sauce, with a 27% share of the category.
By creating a range of Tikka Sauces with a twist, Sharwood’s now offers the curry in a range that caters to all tastebuds.
Sharwood’s new Tikka sauce range not only aims to broaden the appeal of curry but also to get existing Tikka consumers to expand their repertoire creating a sales opportunity for retailers.
New pack designs on the entire Tikka range will coincide with the launch of the new variants, creating on shelf standout for the offering and helping consumers navigate heat levels across the variants.
The new TV adverting campaign is on air from 2 February until the end of April.
The Tikka Masala sauces have an RRP of £1.65 and will be available from March.
