KELLOGG’S SPECIAL K. LAUNCHES FIRST ALL-NUT CEREAL
Kellogg’s Special K. has introduced new special edition Hazelnut and Almond.
The brand’s first all nut cereal, at 5% fat offers shape conscious consumers a new healthier breakfast option.
At 119 calories a bowl, Special K Hazelnut and Almond aims to cause a stir in the slimming world and Kellogg’s predicts it will bring in more than £2m in incremental sales alone.
Made with wheat, rice, oats, hazelnut clusters and almonds, this is the latest edition to the Special K family which now has a total of 11 varieties to choose from.
It is available in Tesco stores now and will be in all other major supermarkets by May 2012.
Special K Hazelnut and Almond is a limited edition food for 2012 only and will be priced at £2.69 for a 300g pack.
Kellogg’s is investing £600,000 in a TV marketing campaign to promote this new cereal including advertising in mainstream TV programming and sponsorship of hit Channel 4 show Desperate Housewives.
