TCD FOODS LAUNCHES NEW SAUCES IN 220ML BOTTLES

January 26th, 2012

After seeing sales grow steadily in 2011, Northumbrian based chilli brand Trees Can’t Dance has signaled its intention to become a nationally recognised brand in 2012 with the launch of its first culinary table sauces in 220ml bottle formats.

Previously available in 100ml bottles, TCD Foods’ Dan May believes the larger bottle formats could encourage consumers to view the range more as everyday table sauces.

It also aims to help the brand to further establish itself on a national level.

Larger bottle formats push the range as table sauces

The bottle format will initially include the company’s top selling sauces including the Flaming Lips Hot Chilli Sauce, the Green Chilli Sauce and the Sweet Chilli Sauce which won “Best Sweet Chilli Sauce” at the National Chilli Awards 2011.

With Dan’s first cook book – “The Red Hot Chilli Cookbook” published at the beginning of February, the company has big plans for 2012 with consumer advertising and media campaigns planned plus a foodservice launch.

TCD Foods’ Managing Director Dan May said:

“The British palate’s love affair with chillies is growing year on year with chilli sauce regularly being used as condiment on the dining table or as an ingredient in the kitchen.

“We are confident the launch of these larger bottle formats will not only help us take advantage of this ever increasing demand but will provide greater brand stand out on-shelf.

“We also believe it will encourage shoppers to view the sauces as a regular addition to the dinner table.”

The sauces have RRP’s of £3.00 and will join TCD Foods’ burgeoning portfolio of innovative chilli products including sauces, spice rubs, jams, chutneys and pickles, which are available to the trade directly from the TCD kitchen.
