Australian wine brand Jacob’s Creek will showcase its new light and fresh Cool Harvest range, as well as new sparkling wines, at the Australia Day tasting in January.

Crafted to tap into consumer preferences for these styles, Rebekah Richardson – white and sparkling winemaker at Jacob’s Creek – developed these new wines and will be on hand for the first time in the UK to introduce them to the trade.

In addition, the brand will also be showing new vintages across its Classic, Reserve and Heritage ranges.

The new Cool Harvest range is the latest addition to the brand portfolio.

The still wines are light in style, offering flavours achieved as a result of harvesting the grapes in the cool of the night and incorporating fruit sourced from premium cooler-climate regions.

The range consists of three wines that, in keeping with the light style, are slightly lower in alcohol than other Jacob’s Creek wines of the same varietal – Sauvignon Blanc (10.5%), Shiraz Rosé (11%) and Vermentino (9.5%).

The range will be available to both on- and off-trade retailers from February 2012, with an off-trade RRP of £8.49.

In addition, Jacob’s Creek will be showcasing a new range of sparkling wines that will be introduced to the UK in 2012.

Jacob’s Creek Trilogy is a premium sparkling wine range that pays homage to the traditional Champenoise techniques and has been created using the Champagne grapes of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier.

The Cuvee Brut and Cuvee Rosé will be available to the on- and off-trade from August 2012.
