BRAND PHOENIX LAUNCHES NEW SPARKLING VARIETALS
Brand Phoenix and Distell have announced the launch of two new sparkling wines in the UK.
Distell, which acquired a stake in Brand Phoenix last year, has launched its Pongrάcz Rosé and Pongrάcz Brut in Morrisons stores nationwide.
Pongrάcz, an award winning South African sparkling wine, is a premium offering using the classic French blend of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay.

“Fruity flavours and toasty characters” have been created to balance with the dry palate, aiming to set it apart as a sparkling rosé.
Steve Barton, Joint UK Director for Brand Phoenix, commented:
“Given the growth in the sparkling category, in particular over the Christmas period, and akin to the comparable expense of Champagne, Distell’s premium Sparkling Pongrάcz has a real market opportunity.
“With an ever growing repertoire of drinking occasions that are fast approaching such as Valentine’s Day and Easter, sparkling wines are a real opportunity.
“We are working on some really exciting plans with Morrisons to further drive this growth.”
