CADBURY ANNOUNCES LATEST PHASE IN OLYMPIC CAMPAIGN

December 1st, 2011

Cadbury has announced the latest Keep Singing Keep Team GB Pumped music video is to be set to a specially re-mixed dance version of Spandau Ballet’s classic 80’s hit ‘Gold’, to celebrate the return of Wispa Gold.

The music video features Team GB BMX hopeful Shanaze Reade as she negotiates the training track in time to the beat with the rousing lyrics spurring her on.

Wispa Gold and Spandau Ballet fans will be able to submit their voice of support by singing along online (www.keepourteampumped.com/gold).

A few winning singers will be invited down to the studio to record their voice, which will be featured as a layer on the dance remix version of the chorus, alongside Spandau Ballet’s original vocals.

The new track will be released as a single later this year.

Since its release in 1983, ‘Gold’ has become widely associated with sport and passion, achieving 25 million album sales worldwide.

Team GB hopeful Shanaze Reade has two UCI BMX World Championship Titles and a 2011 UCI Super Cross win on the Olympic track under her belt since competing at the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games.

The video sees her training hard as she makes her preparations for the London 2012 Olympic Games.

The video and remixed track will be released in November and is the fourth in a series of adrenalin pumping songs for Cadbury Dairy Milk’s Keep Singing Keep Team GB Pumped campaign, the most motivating arm of Cadbury’s London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games sponsorship.

The campaign is designed to get the nation singing to Great Britain’s aspiring Olympic athletes as they prepare for the London 2012 Games.
