LINDEMAN’S LAUNCHES NEW ZEALAND SAUVIGNON BLANC
Lindeman’s, the new world wine brand, has a new addition to its Winemaker’s Discovery range, in the shape of a New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc.
Lindeman’s Winemaker’s Discovery New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc (rrp £6.99) is from the Marlborough region of New Zealand with grapes sourced from Wairau and Awatare Valleys.
The wine has been created to appeal to consumers looking to explore New Zealand wine, offering them a chance to do so through a familiar brand.
Lindeman’s Senior Brand Manager Rebecca Haigh said:
“Having successfully launched wines from both Chile and South Africa, we know that consumers trust the consistent Lindeman’s winemaking style to deliver high quality wines whatever the country of origin.

Growth has been driven almost exclusively by Sauvignon Blanc
“With New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc becoming an increasingly popular choice for many consumers over the last year, this is the perfect time to introduce New Zealand to the Winemaker’s Discovery range.”
New Zealand is currently one of the fastest growing countries of origin in the UK, with value sales up 10.6% over the last year, equating to an increase of £28m.
Within New Zealand wine, growth has been driven almost exclusively by Sauvignon Blanc.
The grape accounted for over 84% of last year’s growth, adding £23.6m to the category.
Rebecca continued: “The Lindeman’s Winemaker’s Discovery range provides retailers with a fantastic chance to expand their range of countries of origin, whilst offering consumers the reassurance of a top selling brand.
“Lindeman’s New Zealand is set to attract a new set of consumers to a category which has seen extensive growth. Retailers should be sure to stock up and take this fantastic chance to help their customers expand their wine repertoire.”
