Barens Chocolate – an international Swiss confectionery brand – is launching a “quality but affordable” chocolate range called Amador, as it looks to shake up the UK chocolate confectionery sector and become a nationally recognized brand within two years.
Made in the tradition of the Swiss chocolatiers, Barens prides itself on using only ethically sourced, natural ingredients to produce chocolates of the high quality.
Each 125g bag is made up of individually wrapped, filled milk chocolates, which are available in three flavours – mint, hazelnut and orange with RRP’s of £1.99.
Set up in 2000 by a group of Swiss confectionery professionals, Amador is the first of several product launches scheduled for the next 12 months.
Barens believe the Amador range’s taste profile, quality and competitive price point will see huge interest from a wide range of independent and multiple retail outlets.
David Williams, Barens’ National Sales Manager, who was one of the driving forces behind Lindt’s UK success in recent year, said:
