United Biscuits UK, a manufacturer of biscuits, snacks and cakes, is launching a new KP Nuts range taking various combinations of nuts, sweet biscuits & fruit and offering them in a sharing pouch.
With sharing bagged snacks currently worth £633m and growing by 11%, KP Nutty Nibbles aims to provide retailers with further opportunities to capitalise on this increased consumer demand for these formats.
Available from August in a 130g sharing pouch with a MRRP of £2.40, the new range of KP Nutty Nibbles will come in two variants.
These are Biscuits & Chocolate Nut Mix, which is made up of Honey Roast Peanuts, mini McVitie’s HobNobs Biscuits and Chocolate Chunks, and a Fruit & Chocolate Nut Mix, which contains Honey Roast Peanuts, Red Tart Cherries, Cranberries and Dark Chocolate Raisins.
George Johnston, marketing director of Bagged Snacks, UBUK, said:
“KP Nuts is performing extremely well at the moment, generating £45m RSV and growing by 10% as sharing snacks at home continues to be one of the main consumer trends driving the market.
“This new KP Nutty Nibbles range utilises the unique combination of tasty family favourite biscuits, the finest quality nuts from KP and delicious and juicy fruit to create something really special to share with family and friends.
“The range has already received great feedback from consumers, with 75% of those that tried the range saying that they would go on to purchase.
“Retailers should consider adding the new range to their existing sharing snacks fixture to take advantage of the sales opportunity that these formats are generating.”
