Zizzi, the high street Italian chain, is launching its first ever menu of Cichetti – traditional Venetian small plates.

Launching to satisfy a range of consumer tastes, the new menu will offer diners a selection of Venetian tapas – tipped to be one of the food trends this summer.

Celebrating both the diversity and quality of Italian food, Zizzi is attempting to bring this Italian trend to the British high street and has developed Cichetti as an appealing option for groups to get together and enjoy sharing food.

From Polenta Croccante – crunchy nuggets of polenta – to Arancini, mini risotto balls with mozzarella, peas and a tomato chilli sauce, Cichetti creates a platter of small food bites to mix and share.

Also appearing on the new menu is Salsicca Al Pepe Nero – sausage with lentils and cannelloni beans, and Polpette Al Pomodoro – a mixture of beef and pork meatballs in a spicy tomato sauce.

Helen Jones, Managing Director at Zizzi, commented:

“We want Cichetti to be a really fun and sociable dining experience for groups of friends and families, as well as a speedy but satisfying option for busy workers.

“Whether diners fancy a quick bite before heading out on the town with friends, or a varied tasting experience for all the family to enjoy – Cichetti has something to suit all tastes.

“Venetian Tapas is something that Zizzi has never offered before and our Executive Chef Angelo has specifically created this new range for the menu.”
