Linda McCartney Foods is expanding its range by offering new products to its product portfolio.
The special edition Linda McCartney Italian Sausages and Linda McCartney Peri Peri ¼ Pounder burgers will launch across selected UK retailers in mid-march 2011.
Continuing the same taste which has always been at the heart of Linda McCartney Foods, the special edition products are both high in protein and fibre.
The new Linda McCartney Vegetarian Italian Sausages follow in the success of the UK’s no. 1 selling Vegetarian Sausage.
The launch of the sausages aims provide further variety and choice to those seeking a vegetarian or meat-reduced lifestyle and are an addition to the already established range of the Linda McCartney meat-free products.
The Italian Sausages are made on a soya base with red peppers, mozzarella, onion, courgette, garlic and herbs.
The Linda McCartney Vegetarian Peri Peri ¼ Pounder Burgers also hope to continue to add new interest and flavour to the burger category following on from the successful launch of the Mozzarella ¼ Pounder Burgers last year.
The spicy burgers are best enjoyed barbecued with some fresh sides such as tomatoes or a green salad.
Linda McCartney currently holds 10.7% of the Frozen Meat Free foods market, making it the fastest growing frozen vegetarian brand on the market.
As the subcategory of burgers is down year on year with 6.4%, in line with the general trend on Frozen Meat Free foods, Linda McCartney is backing this trend with its burgers showing a +15.2% increase year on year with the introduction of a new classic burger, replacing the previous Linda McCartney line.

The new special edition products will hit stores in time for the public to vote the winner of Linda McCartney Foods’ ‘UK’s Search for the Tastiest Meat Free Dish’ which, called for all budding chefs to submit their best vegetarian recipes.
The Linda McCartney Peri Peri ¼ Pounder Burgers are available at Asda from 14th March, Sainsbury’s from 27th March and Cop-Op from April 13th.
The Linda McCartney Italian Sausages available at Tesco from March 14th and Sainsbury’s from 27th March.
The Linda McCartney range is available from Sainsbury’s, ASDA, Tesco, Morrison’s, Holland & Barratt, plus
