TROPICANA UNVEILS NEW FRUIT LEMONADE RANGE

Tropicana is adding to its chilled fruit juice range with the launch of the category’s first ever range of still lemonades to be made from 100% natural fruit juice.

With absolutely no added sugar or water the new still lemonades hopes to ensure sales fill a gap in the market and deliver healthier fruit based refreshment which provides consumers with one of their five-a-day.

Launching at the end of February, new Tropicana Pure Premium Lemonades come in two flavours, a traditional Lemonade and Pink Lemonade.

Designed for consumers who enjoy the taste of still lemonade, but don’t want added sugar or water, this innovation is aiming to drive incremental sales opportunities for retailers throughout the day.

Tropicana Marketing Manager, Peter Charles said:

“The chilled fruit juice category is in strong value growth (+11.4%), but with half of all pure juice being consumed during the breakfast occasion our new still lemonades provide a significant opportunity for retailers to build sales throughout the day.

“As with all our Pure Premium range, Tropicana Lemonade is made by sourcing the finest quality fruits and expertly blending them to create an unrivalled taste and flavour.

“We’re confident that these mouth watering additions to the Tropicana portfolio will be a huge hit with consumers.”

Tropicana Pure Premium Lemonade is made from hand selected lemons and blended with sweet apple and pomelo juice to create a balanced fruit juice, while the Pink Lemonade flavour is infused with a hint of raspberry.

These new lemonades are available in 900ml take home formats and 300ml single serve portions for the impulse channel and on-the-go refreshment.

The launch of Tropicana Pure Premium Lemonades will be supported by substantial marketing investment including TV advertising and sponsorship.

Available from the end of February, the 900ml take home format has an RRP of £2.20 and the 300ml single serve has an RRP of £1.17.
