The Yorkshire Crisp Company has announced a new flavour to join its current range, as a limited edition ‘guest flavour’.

The brand new taste sensation to be launched this spring will be ‘Roast Lamb and Mint’ and will be the first ‘meat-based’ addition to the Sheffield-based company’s range.

The flavour was chosen from hundreds of entries sent in to a national competition to suggest ideas for a new limited edition crisp.

The Yorkshire Crisp Company produces a wide range of hand-made crisps made from local vegetables and natural flavours.

Tim Wheatley of The Yorkshire Crisp Company said:

“We were astounded by the number of entries and diversity of flavours that were sent in, and after much deliberation we decided that Roast Lamb and Mint would work particularly well as a spring launch.

“It is a little different from the run-of-the-mill flavours out there and as we don’t currently have a meaty flavour, it will hopefully attract a wider audience to our product.”
