Heavenly Cakes has announced the launch of their gluten & wheat-free range of indulgent cakes.
The Stevenage based Heavenly Cakes brand, owned by Maeve & Nigel Green from Hitchin, make a large range of additive-free, hand-made brownies, flapjacks, shortbreads & signature chocolate cakes sold nationwide.
Heavenly Cakes have now made available on their online shop a vast range of over 25 of their cakes that are suitable for those customers who require a gluten or wheat-free diet.
Maeve & Nigel claim it is one of the largest ranges from one manufacturer in the country.
The brand new Nut Brownie created specifically for the gluten-free market will join their best-selling Tiffin & Rocky Road, Lemon Meringue & Very Berry and many others.
Maeve & Nigel believe the new range breaks ground in gluten-free taste & quality, they said:
“We have received extremely favourable feedback on both the taste & choice of our gluten & wheat-free range from people at farmers markets we trade at within Hertfordshire.
“Customers have told us there has traditionally been very little choice & what has been available is not very tasty.
“Our cakes seem to fit the bill perfectly for a customer base starved of a great tasting range of treats- not only without gluten & wheat but containing no additives at all”
Maeve Green, who creates all Heavenly Cakes products was determined to launch only when she had a very large range to offer.
“We could have introduced three or four cakes, but we wanted to make a bold statement to this vibrant but hitherto short-changed sector of the market.
“The feedback from our customers, both business & consumer led us to pursue our plans on a much grander scale- and I think the hard work was worth while!”
